Mary and Joseph were told there was no room at the inn – displaced, afraid and alone, they were turned away at every door. Until one act of compassion changed everything: an innkeeper opened their door, and enabled hope to enter the world.

After a devastating year for international aid, many feel forgotten – mothers giving birth alone, children with disabilities left without care, families returning to war-scarred homes. As organisations scale back and services are forced to close, our beneficiaries tell us they are afraid that the world has stopped caring.
But Hope Health Action is still here.
We are in a rare and privileged position: still on the ground, providing life-saving care. But to stay there, we need your help. Just as the innkeeper opened the door to Mary and Joseph when all others had turned them away, you can provide compassion, hope and dignity to the most vulnerable this Christmas.

Just three days after Milou gave birth at home, she received a home visit from a HHA-funded community health worker. She checked on both mother and baby, provided breastfeeding advice, and provided her with a post-delivery kit – simple, timely support that was a lifeline for Milou and her little girl Miranda.

and could buy seeds and tools for a refugee family
Rose lives with a disability and was struggling to feed her family on limited rations in the Ugandan refugee settlements. Since she participated in HHA’s agriculture programme, she’s grown enough crops not only to eat, but also to sell and set up her own small business!

Mambo received two brand new prosthetic legs - made for him especially in our workshop. He can now walk for the first time in his life!
